I assume that 18.5' is the width?

The garage dimension is small by US standard. So a single double-size door is actually a better choice. Since a single door is cheaper to build, you should be able to get some compensation. Just check the price difference online. You might also want to check the Canada building code for more information w.r.t. garage dimensions.
