请教加州超速告票的依据

我下周出差到旧金山,会在市内开车但不想吃告票.
我这里,还有很多地方的警察对州际高速公路上或本州公路上的车,超过限速10 miles才发告票.有的州,如德州,是白天超10,晚上超5会发告票.请教生活在旧金山的朋友,你们那儿的警察是如何发告票的?谢谢.
