Depends. It is fact specific. If you have too many accounts then splitting all of them might be daunting. Bottom line is that the value of these accounts must be equally divided. One spouse may choose to keep certain stocks and buy out the other spouse with certain assets, such as other accounts or cash. You have to sit with an attorney to figure out.
