本人所有财产都立了受益人，请问有必要立遗嘱吗？

本人所有财产都立了受益人，一但出事也不会有遗产争吵。请问有必要立遗嘱吗？有朋友说，如果没有立遗嘱的话，政府（加拿大）会拿走大部分。
