原唱美国歌手唐·麦克莱恩（Don Mclean）是在1971年创作并演唱，来纪念荷兰著名印象派画家文森特·梵高（Vincent Willem van Gogh）。 自由发挥，改编，特别是发挥转调转音特色处理，各显神通是各路大神翻唱《Vincent(梵高之歌)/David Roth & Don Mclean》时候约定俗成的规矩。
楼主翻唱的是美国芝加哥民谣巨星David Roth与比利时天后Dana Winer各自民谣吉他伴奏版。他俩处理上最大的区别是副歌，David对“know how”那一段处理比原唱变化极大，但适应的是他自己整首歌的演绎风格。David Roth他在一些乐句的音符、节奏细节上做了与原唱不同的精致调整，把原来4分钟的整首歌扩充了一分钟，旋律更加旖旎，犹如宁静神秘的星轨螺旋。
