get it up and running is not hard. You need:
1 microphone (condenser mic for more detaisl in voice) (1-200USD)
2 mixer with USB interface to PC. mixer takes input from microphone (<100 USD）.
3 download a free software to PC to edit sound track / export mixed recording
i am also just getting started. i got the hardware set up now but I am still at a very prelimiary stage on how to edit sound tracks (compressor / EQ / ...)
