US government will always have ability to print money.

The collapse will mean that US treasury market being seized due to lack of confidence in US dollar.

Treasury market collapse, bond price tumble, stock market collapse and interest rate skyrocket and banks will stop lending.

Buy more housing? I do not think most people can afford it without bank lending.
