NEVER EVER GIVE UP YOUR COBRA! instead, wait until last few days to enroll your Cobra (you usually have 63 days to enroll Cobra, check your package). BUT, BUT DON'T PAY ANY PREMIUM WHEN ENROLL! you have 45 days grace period to make your payment or any day you have medical service rendered during these 45 days. the rule is you are covered by Cobra once you make payment during 45 days.
let's hope:
- you find a new job during these 45 days and get medical coverage through your new employer or
- you find individual medical policy on your own.
then you simply ignore your Cobra.
