Agree with you under this condition.  You and your wife both work and have good pay.  When you retire, you both will be taking the highest amount of SSI, then the SSI might be enough.  But if you both have high salary during your working years, then your expense and your life style can NOT be that low.  Can you adjust to this $60K plus life style?
