I've always thought note/bond is a debt instrument.  I've never thought that the underlying asset can be derivates.  If I purchase a bond like that, am I financing someone else's gambling spree?

Anyway, thanks a lot for your insight!  I'm a 民工, the complex financial world is beyond my imagination.
