在美国要想死后把钱留给儿女而不是配偶，是不是只有通过保险？

好象房子，股票基金，银行存款什么的，法律规定一定要留给配偶，除非它签字同
意放弃你的遗产。

现在我把一小部分基金买成了养老金annuity, 这样可以留给儿女，
除此之外，还有没有其他的方法把我的遗产留给儿女？
买人身保险是不是可以？
