有关父亲医疗费用和医疗保险问题请教

我父亲７１岁，肾脏不好， 在国内依靠透析治疗。
我已为他申请绿卡， 预计２０１０年１２月能批准。计划让父亲２０１０年１０月来美国。 有关父亲医疗费用的问题请教：
１）在他绿卡没有批准前（２０１０年１０月到２０１０年１２月之间）， 需要到医院透析治疗， 美国的医院肯定会接收他么？
２）在父亲拿到绿卡后， 他何时可以有医疗保险（应该是Medicare)？该医疗保险是否保透析治疗的费用？
