-You need to update your address, otherwse you may not receive the correspondences from USCIS or NVC. You had better call USCIS whether they have forwarded your case to NVC. If yes, you need to contact NVC to update your address also.

There are 3 ways for U.S. citizens to let USCIS know about a change of address:

- By Mail: You can register a change in address by submitting Form I-865 (“Sponsor’s Notice of Change of Address”) to report any address changes. Each sponsor is required to submit this form even if they live at the same address.
