“To take advantage of these H-1B extension and portability provisions, a beneficiary must file an I-485 application for adjustment of status within one (1) year of an immigrant visa becoming immediately available (retrogressions in the visa dates would reset the clock).”
我是EB2（PD：13年5月底），又在16年春天降级EB3. 如果从EB2来看，自17年11月485已经current （decision date 有名额）了，看来新公司必须在18年11月前file 我的485（我旧公司的485在17年4月已经被我cancel了，当时受到了RFE的信）。
-You cannot file a new I-485 now because you are not physically present in US currently. You can apply for H-1 visa to enter US, then file I-485 if the priority date is still current at that time.
