请问大师们：

我现在是i 140 批准了，h1b 的i－94 马上到期。刚刚换了个新工作，新公司已经申请了h1b transfer and extension，拿到收据了. 今天听说h1b transfer and extension可能会需要6-8个月的时间才能批。

如果万一在新h1b批下来以前，我的工作有变动，比如失业，裁人等，那我不就是没有有效的i 94了吗？这样会对我有多大影响，找新工作，转h1b。

-That will be very serious if your current employer lay off you and withdraw the H-1 transfer petition. If so, you have to leave US.

有人建议我让现在的新公司申请h1b加急，这样我就有一个3 年的approved h1b在手里， 当然我要自己交2500美金的加急费。请问这样做值得吗？

-The premium processing fee is $1,225, not $2,500.

对我真有帮助吗（如果不幸在拿到新h1b前失业了）？ 多谢！
