Thanks. She came to US with her Mom more than 10 yearsago, both were sponsored by her Uncle who was already in the US at that time.

I am not sure if she has already filed the 485, but she told me that she did filed "something" including her fingerprint. what she need to do now is simply waiting.

By the way, her Dad (who came to US earlier) is already a US citezen. However her parents did not have a marriage licence in their original country and they did not bother to have the marriage certificate here for some government benefit reasons (I guess:), untill half a year ago. Therefore, her status currently (probably) has nothing to do with her Dad's.

This is basically all the information I know. We plan to get married within a year.
