Not same degree, liquid hydrogen

explosion can wipe out a town. Gas hydrogen leaks easilly and any damage in the tank will result in many cars being destroyed nearby. It really puts people life on the line.

It should be used in a controlled environment like in a factory or space craft. If it explodes, it is far away from population.
