SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Inquiries with tech supply chain providers on the Kindle Fire tablet has led Pacific Crest analyst Chad Bartley to raise his revenue forecasts on Amazon.com Inc. AMZN -0.74% . In a research note, Bartley said Friday that supply chain checks suggest that demand for the Kindle Fire "is trending better than expected," and mostly due to sales of the 7-inch version of Amazon's tablet. Bartley estimates that Amazon sold 1.7 million Kindle Fire's in the first quarter of the year, up from his earlier forecast of 1.3 million. Bartley also raised his 2013 revenue forecast for Amazon to $77.12 billion from $76.74 billion. For its part, Amazon, which is scheduled to report quarterly results on April 25, has never released sales figures for its Kindle line of tablets.
