Sounds like you have done a lot of research. That's good. I have only 2 reminders.
1. Don't let the contractor talk you into a smaller duct. For 900 cfm, you need at least 8" duct in diameter.
2. Since you're putting in a powerful exhaust fan, check with your local building code if a make-up air (MUA) system is required. It's rare, but who knows.
