How about it seems I have to quit my job at this time?

I am working for one of big four in tax. My spouse landed a job far away from the city I am working in. It is so hard for him to get this position. Last year (08) when I started to consider move, the financial crisis came. Everything changed. I expected that accounting job should be easy. But the fact turned out not. My kid lives with me. I have to work very late and have no much time left with my kid everyday. I should say I am suffering very much now because it seems I have no choice but quit for my kid. Many people (including my parents) say that many people are looking for job now. It will be the stupidest thing to quit at this time.

I hope someone can give me some advices, even a couple of words may comfort me a lot.
