Well this is a couple of years ago when we still had our fifth wheel. we were driving through Las vegas on the freeway and alarms went off in my truck showing low coolant and hot engine. i stopped on a vee where an exit goes off the freeway and opened my hood....coolant everywhere. What to do? So I am standing there letting the engine cool down a bit and a cop pulled up and asked whats wrong. I explained the problem and he said that the city of Las Vegas has a free repair program for the freeway and proceeded to call a mechanic. The mechanic had just driven past us and did a u turn and was there in minutes. He found a cracked hose on the engine and replaced it, filled the engine with water and were on our way. I was flabbergasted that the city provides that kind of service.
We were the recipients of the kindness but will never forget it and I do my best to pay that forward if I can.
