Door Frame Repair vs Replacement Question

我家二楼晾台的French　Door门框立着的部分， 下面小半截（1/4)因为雨水的缘故朽了，　想换掉，　门是好的。　本地最好的木匠说要把门拿到工厂去请他们定做一个新的门框。　５００、６００块吧，　问题是现在工厂还不开门，　不知道要等到什么时候。

我看homedepot有卖现成的门框的，　不太明白为什么要定制门框。　木匠说定制的精确度比较高。　是这样的吗？门是标准尺寸的。

我另外看见网上有人把门框朽的部分挖掉， 用epoxy填上就好了， 这个好像我自己都可以做。
