保险公司理赔后必须请contractor修吗？

厨房水管爆了造成屋内大面积漏水泡了地板。 报保险后赔了一笔钱。我可以自己修吗还是必须请contractor？听到一个说法：如果这次自己修了，下次再漏水的话保险公司会以没有请contractor修为理由拒保。是不是这样？有谁经历过吗？谢谢。
