The city where my rental property located right in the center of downtown are really expensive. It is really hard to find a decent hotel below $200. That is why the bill is so high. My boss was nice enough to let me work remotely for all those days; I would go to local office there. I had to pay all the food, transportation though, etc. yeah, I had good time there. When you are alone in the city, you will go to places and spend $$$ to kill time.
