A friend of mine is single at his 60 years. His budget is about $20,000 per year. If he uses the US Life Expentance 78.5 as a reference, then he needs (78.5-60)*20,000 = $370,000. If you use 2 times the US Life Expentance, then the new estimation will be (2*78.5-60)*20,000 = $1,940,000 that is close to $2 million. Please do not take it two serious since it is just an estimation. Very few of us can live more than 100 year, can we?
