I have the drywall around the cover plate missing a corner. What is a good way to fill in a material that will make it complete? The problem is there is no support for the space to fill in something like caulk or spack;e. And if I attach a piece of cardboard (or anything similar) to the space, it will make the edges all uneven (rising up).
I don't have stable internet connection for my laptop right now, so I might not respond to you in time. But thanks in advance for giving me suggestions during the holiday time. I really apprecaite it. I have been thinking a lot and googling, but with no good result. Someone suggested using newspaper to fill in the space and then spackle, but how does the newspaper stand there? It is a bottomless hole.
I also posted at a different site. I am clueless to a seemingly small problem. Thanks so much!
