There is something wrong in low voltage circuit which causes overload. it could be a shortage to gound. You need to find that first. Otherwise, transformer may be toasted in seconds. It is best to add a inline fuse (3 Amps) on low voltage side. It is much easier and cheaper to change the fuse than transformer.
