房客要求把洗碗机水线接好。but the water pressure became vey slow when handy men shut off water for two days, The upstair has no water but downstairs has slow water and slow shower. The handyman broke the pile on the third day, no water at all on the third night. I got water in on the 4th day from neighor's house, then paid $3000 for main water line from meter.
Tenant said they wouldn't pay rent for the days they had no water and had small water. But they did live there.
May I charge them the rent ? only one night has no water. other two days has small water, one night has kitchen sink leak.
They still live there? why not paying any amount? I am willing to refund any inconvenience fee such as $20 per day.
How to work it out?
it is California. is there any code I can refer to so that work out with tenant?
