Hello,
i have been trading options for a while, and wish to learn from you. As i am not sure whether my way will be he best for myself.
my question is:
When you pick options, usually what kind will you pick?
For example, i call the QQQ last Friday. I picked Feb 20 , out of money $106.
My reasons:
1. the Vix is on the way down, indicating the market not going big down.
2. the volume is not that big for the market, so not sure whether the QQQ will be jump up.
3. therefore, the QQQ can be bumpy, or slow up.
4. As it is slow up, i dare not pick anything in Jan, worrying that the time value down quickly.
5. So i pick the option in Feb 20, then i picked $106 call, as the open interest is big, and the volume of the option trading that day not too low.
6. I plan to keep this option for 1-2 weeks.
When you picked your option, is there any reasoning to guide yourself?
Thank you very much for your sharing. I really wish to learn from you.
