考虑父母过来玩，汽车保险中的medical payment有必要保么？

看这个条文写的是：This is a coverage option that pays 
doctors' bills, hospital bills and other related medical costs for you, your
family and passengers regardless of who is at fault in an accident.

原来没有在汽车保险里选这个是因为我们自己有公司的医疗保险可覆盖。但是现在考虑
到才买了房子父母肯定会过来玩，老人没有这边的医疗保险，且要经常坐车，需要在汽车保险
里加这个么？

另外如果不报这个险，是否可以单独在美国给父母买医疗保险来应对老人的一些突发情
况？
