The breakaway gap followed by the runaway gap in the above chart implies that the 17.5 level will be broken to the upside. If that does happen, we will very likely see fireworks. This leads to the conclusion that we may see growing fear in the markets within the foreseeable future. Rightly or wrongly, gold is perceived as a haven for savings.
