About STOP loss

this is my understanding:

1) if someone totally  don't have "STOP Loss"  in mind, this person should not come to trading ( not investing);

2) If someone mechanically copy and execute this "STOP Loss", regardless the context of market, he could also 

    create disaster for his/her account.
