if there was a restraining order, you should go to court to file a contempt charge. I am curious how the house was sold. even if the title has one spouse, California law requires a disclaim deed from the other spouse. assuming the sale was valid, since it happened several years ago, the deal must be upheld for the buyer, if he is bbona fide. the only remedy is to ask the wife for reimbursement of the contract price. the house cannot be sold now. you can have it appraised but the report is hearsay and cannot be used in court. you can provide other evidence such as export opinion but it is up to the court to adopt it.
