"nursing home cost average of 3500-5000 per month"--this is what I heard, too.  Some of the police have a limit on the total cost per person.

"the monthly premium is about 125/month at age 65" is more reasonabble. I bet it is better to do it later since so much uncertainty associated with the prodect.
