The key to photograph propeller plane is the shutter speed. Too fast, you freeze the prop and lost all the sense of movement. Too slow, you get blurred pictures.
In the example picture you use, you see only the prop are blurred - giving viewers a sense the airplanes are flying.
Before you take off, ask the pilots what is the RPM of the propeller. Just get slower than that. Let's say it is 2400 rpm = 40/s, you will need to use 1/25 speed.
Otherwise, shoot away from the propeller
