大侠门说说， 200-400mm 是8是非常实用?

手上现在 有一老300MM f2.8 AF-I.  加 TC-14 = 420mm F4.  但是没有VR.  当地有人要出 第一代 200-400mm (red VR). 

200-400mm似乎非常实用.  Also worry about the old AF-I could die soon.
