Just want to clarify - you are correct in that the UCCJEA statue you found gives Texas the power to address child custody issues.  However, it does not give Texas the power to address child support.  And the problem we're having in your case is not about child custody, but about child support and medical support.  The only way Texas would have the right to have the power to address the child support and medical support issues is if your hu*****and has lived here during the marriage or he was personally served with the divorce papers while in Texas.  That is why I am hoping that the Court will accept your hu*****and's Answer that was filed with the Court as him agreeing to let Texas address all issues including child support.  That is also why I told you that you need to be prepared to let go of the child support and medical support issues if the Judge will only agree to do the divorce and child custody.
