In 2008, JPM inherits big silver short position from bear stern. They and other 3 banks added to that and shorted half of the world annual production worth of paper silver on that year. They did succeed and cover their position at much lower price.

Such manipulation in silver market still exists in today's market.

But when physicals are continued to be taken out from the market, those people will eventually hurt themselves.
