Don't be so angry. He is telling the truth.

To own anything, you just need to be aware of all the risk and hedge accordingly. There is no investment that doesn't involve risk. To take the high risk or low risk is up to you.

For now, Cash is king in deflationary environment. US$ is rising, actually in favor of cash. Cash equivalent include T-Bill (US T-bill should still be safe in near term. T-Bill is also rising in value at the moment).
