car can do and an automatic can't. The first is: you can push start a car by shifting to third gear and releasing clutch after the car has some speed already. the momentum of the car will drive the engine and start it. The second is: you can drive a car without engine power for a short distance by using the starter motor. I don't think a car equiped with a cut-off switch under the clutch can do those things. If some countries require the manual-shift car to add this switch for safety reasons, I don't think it should apply to all cars in the world.
