Originally, it was Crawl Space, then the owner dig out a basement about 6' height (maybe to install furnace and update something? and they dig too much and touched the foundation of one wall, so that corner of the house sank, and there is a 1 meter vertical crack visible in the basement wall. Can see any problem from outside. the inspector said it will cost $30 to 50K to fix the foundation, even though he said the digging happened at least 10 years ago.
