Premonition
When our love had become habitually dull,
We should have talked about how it turned out so.
You said you enjoy moments of romance,
Yet you were starting to keep your distance.
Without you to share my joy,
And to shoulder my pain,
My heart is lost like a horse without a rein.
I inquired often, yet your feelings you always hid.
Who made our love but a comedy skit.
I have the feeling that our love is slipping away.
And all our loving memories will be left in disarray.
Love is forever transient,
But for your answer, I shall wait.
I have the feeling that it might be too late,
Yet my illusive hope will never abate.
I feel restless in this perpetual longing state,
Under these streetlights, I shall forever wait.
