There is grant time and vest time. The grant
time is give the stock (RSU). The vest time is you can sell it. It is up to each company. e.g. let's say grant you 2000 RSU, most will give to you in the next broad meeting after john the company. let's say the vest time is 4 years. So each year (from the grant day), you can sell 500. If you quite job or lost job, most company will take back un-vest part. So look the company offer letter.
