Crankshaft rotates 2 revolution while camshaft gets 1

Therefore, you have rotated the camshaft 1 revolution but not the crankshaft. That means, your timing did not change yet. What you really want to do is to remove the belt, and rotate the crankshaft (the one with smaller pinion gear) 1 revolution, while keep the camshaft as is.
