I posted and asked for help. Since nobody answered me before lunch, I went out during lunch hour and mailed out the letter already.

Now I know 当房东最忌和房客交朋友。

我们和刚来美国时的第一个房东，台湾人，就真成了朋友。他是自己一个人住，老婆孩子都在外地，对我们一家很好，我们也常常请他上来吃饭。所以自己当了房东就想着是不是我们对房客也要nice些呢？
可是拿不准，所以上来问问。可惜大佬们可能都吃午饭去了吧。
哎，现在知道了。下次一定要"professional"。
