The bank looks into your income and expense monthly. My friend and I both have good credit and applied for the same amount, I am approved and she is denied. My house is only worth 1/3 of her high scale condo. The bank said they don't want your house, they want to know if you are able to pay back the loan, they look into your income and expense.
