好吃的馆子：Joe's Shanghai, 9 Pell street in Chinatown- 它的蟹粉小笼可与上海的正宗小笼一比。又好吃又便宜。从 Canel street 右拐进 Mott street，你可以找到Pell street. Mott and Pell 交叉. Ping's restaurant. 在Mott Street. Cantoness style. 糕饼店：Tapan Bakery。在Canel Street 上, 靠近Mott street。XO, Hester street. Cheap and food quality are very good. A lot of choices.
好玩的地方：Brooklyn Bridge; near Chinatown. Union Square, at 14th street. Many shops: DSW, Forever 21, Shoe stores. Columbus Circle, at W. 57th Street next to Central Park, Big upcale shopping mall. Along 5th Avenue up above 70th Street, many museums. In Guggenheim Museum, there is Chinese artist Cai Quo-Chiang's show is going on. Very nice and interesting. Worth to see.
You stay in mid-town, very convenient to everywhere. Suggest you to buy a weekly subway pass - unlimited use for subway and buses. Get map at subway station for free for both bus and subway map. Use bus map as city map as it shows most streets in Manhattan. Subway R, N, (yellow) and 6 (green) all go to Chinatown (Canel Street). They all go to Union Square, too. Don't take cab as trafic is bad in Manhattan. It can cost you futune. Take buses instead. Very easy in Manhattan. Most bus number is the same as street/avenue number.
