Additionally, in some cars, there is a shield to cover the rotor/caliper, it could be distorted, thus touching wheel at some point.

My impression is - it's not shock. If it were, there would be a wooing sound in highway. It should be an easy fix. But stay away from those Big O, Jiffy Lube, etc...
