Give me some suggestions please

Having two kids in high school, I have attended many events they participates. Lately, I have found my lenses are not good in many of the events. My Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 and Nikkor 50mm F1.8 are decent under low lighting but not long enough. My Nikkor 70-300mm VR is long enough but the max F5.6 definitely is not good in any situation other than perfect day light. Last time, I set it to ISO 1600 and still could not get the speed to go below 1/30", resulting many blurr pictures.

I am thinking about getting a Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 with HSM. It is very expensive per my budget, it is heavy and it does not have OS.

Or a Tamron SP Di 90mm F2.8. From the money point of view, I like the Tamron but I don't know how much additional reach a 90mm has over a the 50mm. Those 105mm or 150mm F2.8 may be too much for my budget.
