lense selection is always tricky, and lense has more impact on the pic quality than the body. you need to know the answers to the following questions ....
- what do you want to shoot, potrait, landscape, etc?
- what is your budget?

- 18-200mm VR is rated high, wide range and convienent.
- 18-70mm is around mid-range, a good walk-around lens around $200-$300.

i would start slowly with a single lense 18-70mm and play around for a while, then you would know what like to shoot most. after this you can invest your $ to the lense ...
